Our signature Regional Industry Summits on selected U.S major Industry connects diverse suppliers to serious decision-makers from the government and large corporations in major industries of Virginia.
At our Industry Days, you will meet project managers experts, industry partners, and the broader supplier chain serving industry ranging from technology to construction, to all services in high growth sectors.

Our annual Asian Chamber Gala is supported by the Virginia Asian Foundation’s (VAF) educational programming on behalf of the AAPI communities and our signature AAPI workforce development program.

Promoting Business Leadership
Each year more than 60 applicants vie for the annual prestigious award. Winners are chosen for giving back in dollars and time spent on improving the life of underserved adults and youths.
Promoting Communities and Cultures
At the annual Asian Chamber Gala, VACC and Dominion Energy’s annual Communities and Cultures Celebration program acknowledges the contributions of communities, cultures, and the arts in Virginia.
Celebrating Commerce & Culture
At or annual Asian Chamber Gala, corporate leaders, non-profits, and ethnically diverse community leaders, and philanthropic organizations; community volunteers, elected officials, and political leaders unite at our iconic fundraising event at the Five Star Jefferson Hotel in Richmond each December.
Each year, we bestow five major awards, the highest award category, “Vision in Economic Development Award “recognizes extraordinary achievements by a top government leader who has solidly helped to elevate the growth and prosperity of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Award for Excellence in Leadership,
Service, and Valuing Diversity
Our Annual Award for Excellence in Leadership is the Dream Award for all corporate or public service leaders with the ambition to be among the top servant leaders in Virginia with the highest record in supporting the Asian Chamber and in giving back to the community. Winners enjoy VACC’s courtesy marketing promotions through the press, unlimited promotion via social media networks, and visual recognition.
The Award for Asian Business Inspiration
Since 2010, VACC and Dominion Energy have presented an exciting annual Award program, the Annual Asian Business Leadership Inspiration award. This award champions the personal leadership of an Asian American executive or leader who can balance running the best enterprise in Virginia while dedicating energy to important causes. The award is announced at our annual Gala each year. Winners enjoy recognition in front of 500 guests each year.
Signature Major Event 3: The Annual AAPI Policy Forum
Our annual statewide AAPI Policy Forum gathers businesses, community, think tanks, elected officials, and political leaders to discuss policies that impact Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) communities and small businesses.
Topics of interests include state business climate, education, health insurance, immigration, work visas, language barriers, state procurement law, and combatting hate crimes. So far, all Virginia Governors, Attorney Generals, Lt Governors, and more than 125 policy makers have taken part in our policy summits since 2010.

Annual Internship Incentive Awards
Virginia Asian Foundation offers Internship incentive awards each academic year.
These are need-based stipends offered to help qualified students the opportunity to intern at VACC for 12 weeks to help them off-set the cost of schoolbooks. The award is not payment for an internship; It is designed to off-set the costs of participating in a state college or university.
