Summary

To dissolve the “Asian Minority Myth” and the “Asian American Achievement Paradox”, the Council aspires to educate educators and administrative staff about the history of Asian Americans from diverse cultural groups, and by doing so, promote a better cultural understanding.

In doing so, when the needs arise, the Council offers guidance to facilitate increased communication exchanges among educators, reserachers, counselors, and students with backgrounds from various Asian subgroups to bridge the cultural gap and to help colleges develop services that respond to their needs.
