The Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce (VACC), also known as the Asian American Business Center (AABAC), is the official voice for Asian American Pacific Islander businesses in Virginia.

Since 2004, we have attracted nonprofits, local, state, and federal government agencies, higher education institutions, and Fortune 100/500 global companies seeking to engage with our diverse membership.

Our passionate trade organization has been guiding Asian American and other diverse entrepreneurs through the complexities of doing business in the U.S and global markets for the last two decades.

Our organization’s founder Mr. Tinh Duc Phan - Tinh phan, listed among “Virginia’s Top 50 people to Watch “by Virginia Business Magazine, is an influential leader who had helped Virginia Governor Mark Warner with creating the historical SWaM program which offers underserved small, women, and minority businesses maximum opportunities to succeed in doing business with the state of Virginia.

My Lan Tran, VACC Executive Director - My Lan was voted among Virginia’s “Top Woman Business Executive Leader “by Virginia Business Magazine. She is an Asian American small business advocate who is chief architect of the Chamber’s strategic programming.

Our dynamic supply chain encompasses first and second-generation Asian entrepreneurs along with new or established Pan Asian immigrant businesses with a rich national heritage coming from 37 Asian countries.

Our Asian business community includes members from Persia and Lebanon, China, Afghanistan, and Mongolia, South Kore, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Laos; Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia; India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

This comprehensive representation reflects the vast diversity within the Mid - Atlantic supply chain, making it a powerful American economic force. All are joining VACC looking for advocacy, resources, support, guidance, and connections.

Investment Projects Support

VACC advances connectivity and business intelligence by highlighting leaders and experts sharing their unique experiences and projects to support our global membership business objectives, profitability, and /or small to large size investment project success goals.

We promote domestic and international trade show exhibitions of products, services, and networking opportunities with prospective customers to help grow international sales.

Global Connections to Foster Innovations

VACC is connected to embassies from countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines, and South Korea.

We maintain close connections with vibrant global international diplomatic relationships through the iconic Sister Cities International program. Our leaders spent two decades of VACC resources leading diplomatic projects, one, at Virginia’s City of Richmond’s Sister Cities Commission (Chairmanship) in Virginia, USA, reaching 6 countries, and two, at the Sister Cities International (Economic Development Stategic Committee), reaching 140 countries.
