Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce supports and promotes the Virginia Department of Business Assistance in its celebration of May Business Appreciation Week - May 16-22 as a way to thank businesses for all they do: provide jobs, contribute to the tax base, and support charitable causes.
Business Appreciation Week has been celebrated by the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1997.
The Department of Business Assistance coordinates the week. It's a time when state government and local jurisdictions recognize the many contributions businesses make and say, "Thank you."
During Business Appreciation Week, communities hold events as diverse as golf tournaments and receptions to honor their businesses.
An appreciation theme is selected each year.
