When Asian small businesses in all 60 Virginia Industry sector want to bid for opportunities, they, like many other small-minority-women owned businesses, face a tough battle. VACC Public Policy Group knew that by communicating with our elected officials, by rallying the support of our allies, and by mobilizing the VACC membership is the only way to change this situation. Working for VACC members, we execute an effective strategy to engage and energize our network. And our collective voice is being heard.
Our Government Relations leadership works to help encourage legislators to craft – and pass – laws that help our community enter the state contracting market with less barriers. The Chamber’s Government Affairs ‘ integrated advocacy service, supported by a fierce coalition of Asian advocates, works hard to encourage fast-track decisions by state legislature and government to embrace a comprehensive state strategy that supports the Commonwealth competitiveness while meeting the sustainability, innovation, and unlimited jobs creation potentials of the productive Asian business community in Virginia.
